National UK Emergency Alert Test – Sunday 7 September 2025, 3:00pm

The UK Government will carry out a national test of the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3:00pm. This may pose a risk to people experiencing domestic abuse who use a hidden mobile phone or device as part of their safety plan.

A free, confidential, mental health and wellbeing support helpline, chat and messaging service is now available for all our students to access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The free support service, in partnership with Spectrum.Life gives students additional mental health and wellbeing support, outside of our normal office hours. 

In addition to our Monday to Friday support through the university’s counselling, mental health and wellbeing service, students can now call or message a fully qualified team of experts 24/7 on:

Through the partnership with Spectrum.Life, students will also have access to a web portal and app for further online mental health and wellbeing content and support.
